I LOVE handprints… maybe that is why I have so many on my walls that haven’t been washed off yet!! LOL!  There is nothing like holding those sweet little hands in mine.  This Family Hand Print is the perfect Mother’s Day project because it shows the entire family layered in construction paper hands… what could be better? I’ll tell ya… you probably have all of the supplies in your house already so if you’re a last minute gift giver, this is for you!

Mother's Day Handprint Flower Pot

Moms love flowers, and what better way to show Mom how much you love her than with this wonderful homemade present for Mom on Mother's Day. For the past couple years my kids have made these handprint flower pots for both of their Grandmothers on Mother's Day.

Materials:

  • Clay flower pot
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Pencil
  • Clear acrylic sealer in gloss or matte

Optional materials:

  • Potting Soil

All aboard! Now in its 5th year, National Train Day is back to celebrate train travel and the ways trains touch the lives of people with events across America. This year, festivities will highlight the unique perspective passengers enjoy as they take in the vastness and beauty of the American landscape, from cities big and small, to country vistas and everything in between, when traveling by rail.

The Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum was started by train enthusiasts for the purpose of educating people in railroad history and lore and also to further the avocation of live steam, gas-mechanical and electronic railroad technology.

The museum operates their 7½" gauge model trains for the general public to ride every Sunday (weather permitting).  It's tons of fun for all train enthusiasts in the family, from the littlest Thomas fan to grandparents!  Be sure to make a day of it by visiting Travel Town right next door, for a whole afternoon of trains.

Tuesday, June 26 through Tuesday, August 14 - Infant /Toddler & Me Classes @ BTEE Early Childhood Center

New infant and toddler classes starting this summer at BTEE Early Childhood Center led by expert facilitator Joy Czubiak! Parent/Toddler Transition Class is specifically designed for parents and walking children. Parents will learn how to transition their child into a pre-school classroom setting and minimize separation anxiety. Parent & Me Infant Class is specifically designed for parents and infants. It is a perfect opportunity to meet other parents, discuss topics such as feeding, sleep patterns, soothing babies, and share idea's with one another. Both classes incorporate play, puppets, movement, bubbles, snack time and weekly articles will be provided.

Give soccer a shot with Super Soccer Stars in Encino and La Brea Tar Pits! Coming soon to Burbank and Pasadena!

Super Soccer Stars teaches soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive and educational environment. Through our age-specific curriculum, we use soccer to nurture, build self-confidence and develop teamwork. Low child-to-coach ratios and positive reinforcement ensure that each child improves at his or her own pace while having a blast!

Classes are always enrolling, but the Spring Season begins April 14! Limited space available, so get kicking!
